Drinking Water Purification Systems

The quality of your home’s drinking water may meet local standards, but it might not meet your own. Ordinary tap water can contain dissolved metals, including lead and iron. It might contain nitrates, chlorine and mineral salts. Your tap water could also contain other undesirable substances such as sulfates, mercury, asbestos and arsenic. Fortunately, you can get cleaner, clearer drinking water with an EcoWater drinking water purification system, which produces water ideal for:

  • Drinking

  • Coffee and tea

  • Cooking

  • Ice cubes

  • Baby formula

  • Juice concentrates

  • House plants

  • Steam irons

EcoWater offers a variety of reverse osmosis water systems. An R/O drinking water system uses a thorough process that pushes water through multiple filters and sheds dissolved solids along the way. These systems will help improve your water, leaving bad odors and taste behind while preserving your faucet’s water pressure.

An EcoWater drinking water filtration system is more convenient and less costly than buying bottled water. Best of all, it pays for itself over time and makes a difference you will notice every day.

Here’s How an RO Works:

  1. Household water is directed through a prefilter for filtration to remove sediment, chlorine taste and odor, and particulate matter.

  2. The water is then forced, by pressure, through a semi-permeable membrane where a high percentage of the dissolved solids, etc. are rejected and flushed to the drain.

  3. Filtered water is reserved in the storage tank until needed. An activated carbon absorption block filter that removes tastes and odors polishes the water immediately before going to the faucet.

  • The filters are enclosed for cleanliness and ease of replacement.

  • Changing filters does not require turning off the water, a simple 1/4 turn of the filter shuts off the water and the filter is released at the same time.

Options:

  • Unique and elegant chrome or brushed nickel faucet styles.

  • Optional electronic faucet indicates when filters and membrane need to be replaced.

  • System is expandable if additional filters need to be added.

  • Additional filter selections are available, including higher capacity sediment, or a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) rated filter.

  • The membrane can be upgraded to a 75 gallon per day membrane.

  • Adaptor kits are available to easily add a permeate pump system, which provides improved flow rates

  • at the faucet.

EPS Microbiological Series

The EPS 1000 Series is a a microbiological drinking water purification system certified to meet or exceed the EPA requirements for the removal of bacteria, viruses and cysts such as giardia and cryptosporidia without ultra violet technologies.  The EPS 1000 can be installed on both municipal and well water supplies.

How the EPS 1000 works:

Household water is directed through a pre-filter where lead, chlorine taste and odor and sediment are reduced. The water then passes through the purifying filter where bacteria, cysts, viruses and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are reduced. The only thing left behind is pure water and minerals that help improve the taste of filtered water.

Features and Benefits:

  • Provides great tasting pure water for cooking and drinking – eliminates the need for bottled water.

  • Independently tested and certified to:

    • Meet or exceed the EPA requirement for the reduction of bacteria, viruses and cysts such as giardia and cryptosporidia.   Contaminants that are known to generate boil alerts.

    • Reduce 53 volatile organic compounds.

    • Reduce lead and chlorine taste and odor.

  • Compact design with no storage tank – saves valuable under-sink storage space.

  • No waste water during filtration process; a great GREEN drinking water filtration solution.

  • Minerals are retained for improved taste.

  • Fail-safe shutoff provides a sense of security regarding quality of drinking water.

  • Encapsulated replacement filters with sealed outer shell to ensure that every filter change is sanitary and dry.

Options:

  • High quality, elegant faucet available in two finishes.

  • System can be expanded and customized based on individual filtration needs for problem water.

EACW ALKALINE/REMINERALIZING SYSTEM

The EcoWater Systems model EACW increases the pH and remineralizes the water. It is designed for best performance to be installed in the line between the RO system’s product water outlet and the product water dispensing faucet.

How the EACW Works:

Water is directed through the EACW filter where it dissolves minerals to add flavor and raise pH. Chlorine taste and odor and sediment are reduced. The only thing left behind is pure, great tasting water and minerals that help improve the taste of filtered water.

Features and Benefits:

  • Provides great tasting water for cooking and drinking – eliminates the need for bottled water.

  • Raises pH to 9-10

  • Compact design can attach directly to EWS385/375/175 Reverse Osmosis systems.

  • Safe minerals are added to the water, improving taste and raising pH.

  • Encapsulated replacement filters with sealed outer shell to ensure that every filter change is sanitary and dry.
